Semasa program Warga Cakna di Garissa pada Mei 2023, penduduk merayu supaya membina sebuah masjid yang lebih selesa untuk mereka. Masjid yang dibina sekarang adalah ala-kadar, menggunakan ranting kayu beratapkan zink yang disedekahkan oleh orang ramai.

Tiada sumber elektrik, tiada sumber air bersih dan para jemaah kepanasan terutama di waktu panaz zuhur dan asar.

Rayuan mereka meliputi pembinaan telaga tiub di kawasan sekitar Masjid Al Furqan tersebut bagi mmeudahkan lagi jemaah membersihkan diri, berwuduk dan minum.
